Division 06 — Wood, Plastics, and Composites: how to specify products in it
Rough carpentry, sheathing, finish carpentry, architectural woodwork, solid surfacing and composite fabrications. Division 06 spans structure to millwork, and its product decisions carry both.
What Division 06 covers
Wood and wood-based products from framing and sheathing through finish carpentry, architectural casework and countertops, to plastic and composite fabrications and the fasteners and treatments that go with them.

- 03Panel products and emissions — formaldehyde emission compliance and low-emitting certifications where the project requires them.
- 04Moisture and dimensional stability — species, cut and finish suited to the room’s humidity.
- 05Solid surface and composite performance — impact, stain and heat resistance from tested data, and the seam and support requirements the warranty depends on.
